Applicants are invited for proposals for in-person workshops or meetings on a topic that is broadly in line with the MGMS\u2019s overall scientific remit &#8211; please see website for details of previous meetings for a rough guide. Applicants should complete the brief application form and a proposed budget. For one-day in-person event it can be between \u00a31,000-\u00a32,500, although this is only a guide and applications with costs outside this range will be considered, especially if additional funding is being sought from other sources or has already been secured.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone interested in organising a virtual conference or meeting may also apply, and could use the MGMS zoom account, for example.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Applications should come from student groups or early career (within 5 years of their PhD award) researchers in either academia or industry, but for practical reasons should be located within the UK.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Applications should be emailed to the MGMS secretary (<a href=\"mailto:%20secretary@mgms.org\">secretary@mgms.org<\/a>). There is rolling six-month deadline for applications, 31<sup>st<\/sup> March, and 30<sup>th<\/sup> September, after which date all submitted proposals will be considered.
